Raymond Roy Herzog was born in Meridian on December 17, 1932 to Sophie and Emil Herzog. He was the youngest of twelve children.
Raymond graduated from Meridian High School. He was the only one in the family to graduate.
He married Janice Berosik in 1959. In 1962 he went to work for TG&Y stores and worked for them for 13 years. They moved back to Clifton in 1974 where he opened and operated an auto body shop and later an auto parts store.
Raymond was a member of Immanual Lutheran Church where he served as an elder for many years and any duty that needed to be done.
Raymond loved his garden, baking pies, refinishing furniture and making wine, but his favorite pastime was talking to people, he never met a stranger.
He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by son, Randy, his parents, five sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; daughter Susan Bekkelund and husband Buddy; son Mark Herzog and wife Angela; two grandchildren, Keith Bekkelund and wife Summer, Rebecca Bird and husband Danny Ray. Four great-grandchildren, Jacelyn Slagle, Chloe Bekkelund, Austin Bekkelund, and Bristol Bird. Two sisters, Sophie Bernhardt of Clifton and Mildred Howard of Meridian.
