Rosemary Butler

Rosemary Margaret (Clare) Butler, 77, of Clifton, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Lutheran Sunset Ministries. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at First United Methodist Church, Clifton with Rev. Mary Gean Cope officiating. Burial will follow at Clifton Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Rosemary was born on May 25, 1942 in London, England to Eugene and Margaret Clare. She attended and graduated high school in London. After high school, she found her way to the United States, living in Chicago and then Florida. While in Florida, she met and married John Butler on March 28, 1975. John and Rosemary had two daughters, Margaret and Jennifer. they raised their daughters in Clifton. Rosemary worked for Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home and retired after 25 years of employment.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Margaret Clare; husband, John Butler; and her daughter, Margaret Ann Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Niemeier and husband, Greg; Son-in-law, Skipper Jones; sister, Janet Clare; grandchildren, Cheyenne Jones, Ritzy Aguilar, Alison Atkinson and husband, Tyler, Natalie Niemeier, and great-granddaughter, Lorianne Atkinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Sunset Hospice at 201 Posey Ave. Clifton, TX 76634.
