Ruth Ljungdahl

Ruth Ljungdahl, 103, of Pleasanton passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Sunset Home in Clifton. No services are scheduled.

Ruth was born December 21, 1912 in Chelsa, Kansas to Urban and Lucy Belle (Gifford) Wilson. Born and raised in Kansas, she moved to Texas in the 1950's settling in San Antonio. She taught school in her youth. Ruth loved to garden and cook for her family. She also enjoyed bird watching and raising peacocks and guineas. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Lester H. Ljungdahl; son, Phil Ljungdahl; and sister, Mildred Doornbos.

Survivors include three children, Bob Ljungdahl and wife, Sue, of Hillsboro, Bill Ljungdahl and wife, Jeannie, of Pleasanton, and Beate Sachnowitz and husband, Mike, of Seattle, Washington; sister, Sally Blakely of Connecticut; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
