Sidney Carrol Walker, 82, of Clifton passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Bosque County Cowboy Church. There will be a meal provided one hour before the service at the Church (1:00 P.M.) Everyone is welcome and may bring a dish if they would like.
Sidney was born April 7, 1939 in Mosheim, TX to Charles and Una (Odle) Walker. He grew up and attended school in Mosheim. He married Sylvia Jeanne Webb and they had two children, Jerry and Laura. He made a living farming and doing contractor work. He was a member of the Cowboy Church. Sid loved tractor work, building things, spending time with family, traveling, and watching his grandkids play sports. Sid was as close to perfect as one person could be, always happy, kind, brave, full of love and always prepared for anything. He was a people person; he loved everyone and never missed a birthday party. He always hosted Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day. He would surprise the kids at school to eat lunch with them and always did what he said he was going to do.
Survivors include his spouse, Barbara Arnett of Corsicana; son, Jerry Walker of Whitney; daughter, Laura Walker of Clifton; grandson, Jerry Walker Jr. and wife, Amanda of Florida; granddaughter, Alicia Walker of Whitney; grandson, Kendall Symank and wife, Jessica of Clifton; great-grandsons, Slade Walker and Gavin Walker of Florida, Tommy Goad and Bryton Akridge of Whitney, Kendall Symank Jr. of Clifton; great-granddaughters, Chloe Walker of Florida, Jayden Akridge of Whitney, and Kayla Symank; and great great-granddaughter, Brynley Faith.
