Titia Allen

Titia Allen, 94, of Clifton passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at Lutheran Sunset Ministries in Clifton. Her family will hold a memorial service in her honor at a later date.

Titia was born May 4, 1921 in Emory to Zannie McCoy and Nora Adeline (Jones) Weaver. She was a 1938 graduate of Godley High School and 1942 graduate of North Texas States Teachers College. On December 21, 1946, she was united in marriage to Charles Edwin Allen. For 28 years, she was an elementary educator for Dallas ISD. She devoted her life to teaching and community service.

She was a volunteer at the Center for Success in Learning and other organizations, including the "Richardson Rowdies." Sewing, crocheting, playing the piano, volunteering, gardening, and working crossword puzzles are some of the activities Titia enjoyed doing in her spare-time. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Rebekah's.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband on February 1, 1987; brother, Jack Weaver; and sister, Marie Putnam.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Beaty and husband, Tom, of Palo Pinto; three grandchildren, Apryl Tucker and husband, Tim, of Austin, Ethan Beaty of Benbrook, and Alex Beaty and wife, Danielle, of Coppell; four great-grandchildren, Zane, Hunter, Wyatt, and Ava.
