Visitation will be on November 2. 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clifton Funeral Home.

Tom Fulton Lovelady Jr. Was born on November 30, 1938 in Waco, Texas. He was the first of two children born to Tom Lovelady Sr. and Mary Alice Jackoskie Lovelady.

In the early years Tom was raised in the Central Texas area. He moved in his youth to Muskogee, Oklahoma. He attended school there and graduated in 1957. Tom attended Oklahoma State University and joined the Air Force in 1961.

Across the years, Tom primarily worked as a technical programmer for Airplane Simulators. He served in the Philippines, Homestead, Florida, Clovis, New Mexico Cannon Air Force Base and Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. After his retirement from the Air Force in 1982, he worked a couple of years as a civilian contractor continuing to program air flight simulators.

In 1984, Tom moved to Minneapolis Minnesota with his son Dwayne and worked for the Airline Industry. After a couple of years with a decline in the economy, his job with the Airline Industry was eliminated.

Tom returned to Clifton, Texas to live. He went to work as a Computer Technician for the Hillsboro Independent School District for several years. In addition to his job, Tom also became a devoted caregiver for his mother Mary Alice. His son also lived with him as a helper and caregiver as well. His daughter Paula was in the Air Force during this time.

Tom started working the first of January 2008 as a 911 Coordinator for Bosque County. This job involved updating all the addresses in the county and surrounding communities with 911 coordinated numbers. This was an intricate job of GPS locations, updated road indicators, home or property signs, and addresses. He worked tirelessly with County Commissioners, Sheriff, and Law Enforcement Agencies, the Bosque Appraisal District, and all Ambulance, Fire, and First Responders.

Tom retired on October 1, 2020, concluding his long history of a strong work ethic as a 911 Coordinator. He loved his work, which benefitted many in Bosque County in so many ways. He so enjoyed being a Ham Radio Operator in his spare time, a hobby he continued from his teen years up until his passing.

Tom is survived by his daughter Paula Lovelady Betton of San Antonio, Texas, his son Dwayne Lovelady of Cottage Green, Minnesota and his sister Janey Nation and husband Dwane of Fort Morgan, Colorado, and several nieces and nephews and friends.
