Troy Woosley

October 15, 1968 — April 5, 2018

Troy Lee Woosley, age 49, was released from his worldly pain and suffering and went to be with our Heavenly Father at 4:20 P.M. on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Troy passed in the loving presence of family and friends in SICU at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest due to complications from long term, hard fought, chronic health conditions. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 11, at the Clifton Funeral Home Chapel 303 S. Ave F Clifton, TX. Elder Travis Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery on the N. Interstate 35 Frontage Rd in Robinson.Visitation will be held 5:00-7:30 P.M. on Tuesday April 10, at Clifton Funeral Home.

Troy was born October 15, 1968 in Galveston County, TX and grew up in Clifton, TX alongside his identical twin brother Scott Woosley. Troy was a graduate of Clifton High School where he was a proud Clifton Cub football player. Troy often reminisced about his childhood days in Clifton, working at his parents’ convenience store Ten Ten, and enjoying good times with his twin brother Scott and his lifelong friends. Troy was a twelve year resident of West, TX where he shared a home with his son Jake Woosley and wife of 17 years Stefanie Woosley. Troy recently started a move to Abbott where he could continue the priority of his life, which was daily contact and participation in Jake’s life.

Troy worked at both The Methodist Children’s home and Waco Center for Youth as direct care staff. Later his career path moved to working as a driver and technician for durable medical equipment. Troy worked for Hillcrest DME, Providence DME, and Lincare DME before his health no longer allowed him to work. Troy was excellent at what he did and the people he served loved and appreciated him.

He is survived by his son, Jake Woosley of West; his mother, Sandra Woosley of Robinson; his identical twin brother, Scott Woosley of Robinson; his maternal aunt, Diane Campbell of League City; and his treasured nieces, Jordanna, Jaley, Jennah, and Jacquelyn Woosley, all of Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Woosley, who was a long time business owner and resident of Clifton, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Serving as pallbearers will be Troy’s lifelong best friend Trace Hendricks, Matt Dahl, Andrew Dahl, Jason Dahl, David Colley, Clay Cockrell, Allen Evans, Brandon Burtelson, Jack Kettler and honorary pallbearers Kevin Prescher and Nathan Hendricks.

Troy’s loved ones would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and Respiratory Therapists, as well as all the support staff at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center for their outstanding care.
