Vern Bergman

Norris Vern Bergman, 83, of Clifton passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Clifton Cemetery with Pastor Clay McCord officiating.

Vern was born March 27, 1934 on the family farm in Clifton to Milton and Clarice (Pederson) Bergman. In 1973, he married Joyce Stanford. He farmed and worked for the Thompson Turkey Farm for a number of years, and later worked for Bosque County Precinct 4, retiring after 27 years. Vern loved being outdoors and loved his flowers that he tended to daily. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Preceding him in death were his parents, Milton and Clarice Bergman; Clint Bergman, David Bergman and Mary Conrad.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joyce Bergman of Clifton; sister Edna Shaean of Desoto; sisters-in-law, Mina Bergman and Mary Bergman; brother-in-law Vick Conrad; and two very special cousins, Eddie and Sissy Sincerney of Hewitt; and several nieces and nephews.
