William Payne

William Payne, 80, of Alvarado passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Clifton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at Boggy Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Clifton Funeral Home.

William was born July 28, 1935 to Haskell and Maggie Lea Payne. He was one of eight children. He married Jackie Stanford on March 26, 1955. They were married for 61 years and had three children.
William was a machinist by trade, but he liked to work with wood among other things. He loved to work in his garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Survivors include his Wife, Jackie Payne; son, Danny Payne of Whitney; daughters, Paula Davis and husband, Johnny, of Mansfield, Geneva Dry of Joshua; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
