William "Bud" Sparks Jr.

January 22, 1929 — January 10, 2018

William Clark "Bud" Sparks, Jr., 88, of Clifton passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Goodall-Witcher Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, Clifton with Rev. Clint Schofield officiating.

William "Bud" Was born January 22, 1929 in Tyler to W. C. Sparks, Sr. and Evelyn Odom Sparks. He attended school in Tyler and served in the Navy from October 1950 to August 1954. In 1955, he graduated from Texas Tech University. On June 16, 1951 he married Nancy Louise Paden. They have three beloved daughters, Nancy Elane Valero, Valerie Crouch-Domingo, and Sharon Sue Wilson. Bud worked for Delta Drilling Company, Southland Life Insurance Company, and retired from Ross Laboratories in 1988. Bud was a volunteer at Goodall-Witcher Hospital and Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, parents, sister, Elizabeth Ann McGlasson, and beloved dog, Gypsy.

He is survived by Nancy Elane Valero, Valerie Crouch-Domingo and husband John, Sharon Sue Wilson and husband David; Several grandchildren, Chris Crouch, Ashlie Hays, Marsha Montoya, Laura McElligott, Kathy Fantasia, Michelle Valero, and 14 great grandchildren.
