Wilma Jean Hinesly

Wilma Jean Hinesly, age 78, of Whitney passed away July 23 ‚ 2015. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 27, 2015 at Clifton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jean was born January 28, 1937 in Limestone County to the late Raymond and Lola Peppers. She attended Waco schools and raised her family in Blanket, Texas. She and husband, Dan, celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on May 29, 2015. Throughout her life, Jean enjoyed many pastimes but her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Hinesly; daughters Mechelle Slaughter of Clifton, Rena Blanton and husband J.E. of Meridian and Dee Ann Stailey of California; Sons Jim Hinesly and wife Janet of California and Jack Hinesly of Oregon. Grandchildren Bryan Blanton, Krista Ogden and husband Josh, Amber McCormack and husband Brian, Aaron Henderson, six step-grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Jean treated everyone as family and often blurred the family lines, evidenced by her double cousin Virginia Godsey who she always called her "sister" and Phyllis Gamble who she always referred to as her "other daughter". In a short amount of time Jean grew to love her care-givers at Clifton Nursing and Rehabilitation and their children as if they were family.
