Freddie Odom is a highly respected individual within the funeral industry, known for his dedication, compassion, and strong ties to the community. Born and raised in Whitney, Texas, Freddie completed his education, spending 12 years in Whitney before graduating from the Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science in Houston, Texas.
Freddie embarked on his career at Connally-Compton Funeral Home in Waco, where he honed his skills and demonstrated his commitment to serving grieving families with utmost professionalism and care. After gaining valuable experience, he joined Clifton Funeral Home, a decision that would shape his life for the next 42 years. Throughout his tenure at Clifton Funeral Home, Freddie has been an integral part of the team, ensuring that families receive the support and comfort they need during difficult times.
When Freddie takes a break from his duties at the funeral home, you can often find him sitting outside on his favorite rocker, surrounded by friends from the community. Many passersby honk, wave, or even stop to join him in lively conversations and heartfelt laughter. His warm and welcoming nature has earned him countless friendships and the admiration of those who know him.
Beyond his career and family life, Freddie is an active member of several fraternal and civic organizations. He has served as the Past Master of the Clifton Masonic Lodge, demonstrating his commitment to Freemasonry and its principles. Additionally, Freddie is involved with the Karem Shrine and Scottish Rite, further exemplifying his dedication to these organizations.
Freddie's commitment to community service extends to his involvement in the Clifton Lions Club, where he actively participates in initiatives that benefit the local community. Through his involvement, he continues to make a positive impact and contribute to the betterment of Clifton and its residents.
Among his many accomplishments, Freddie holds his family dear and cherishes the relationships he has built over the years. He is particularly proud of his 50 years of service in the funeral industry, an achievement that has been recognized and honored with an esteemed award. This milestone reflects his unwavering dedication to providing comfort and support to those experiencing loss, embodying the true essence of his profession.
Jennifer Harvey was born and raised in Clifton, Texas. She has the gift of making families feel at ease when attending to that most difficult time in life. Her passion is to serve families and this community in their time of need. She is a loving mother of three children, Jacy, Jenna, and Jake. Grandson Liam Scott was welcomed in January 2024.
Jennifer started in the funeral business while she cared for the late J.B. Darden at his home. J.B. encouraged her to "help" at the funeral home during this time. After J.B.'s passing she became a full-time employee at Clifton Funeral Home and obtained her funeral director's license in 2021. She has been employed with the funeral home since 2014.
Sissy Zander has been a resident of Clifton for 62 years. She loves to interact with the folks in her home town, feeling she can bring that special touch and care to those who have lost a loved one. Her goal is to make those in their time of need feel comforted and supported. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with family and friends. Sissy also loves the outdoors and is an avid gardener. She has worked for Clifton Funeral Home since 2017.
Donna went to work for Lawson Funeral Home in 2015 as a Funeral Assistant. She worked tirelessly to make sure that the families of Lawson Funeral Home were served with care and compassion.
In 2023, Donna became a part of Clifton Funeral Home. She continues her faithfulness and loyalty to the staff and families of Clifton Funeral Home. Donna has been an asset to our community.
